Our Sunday at the Restoration Church

What a busy family we are! Right after leaving our Senior Bible Quizzing Extravaganza in Maryland, we went straight to the Restoration Church in Massachusetts. It’s a good thing I love traveling and being out and about.

I believe it took us approximately 8 hours to get MA, after leaving the awards presentation in Maryland. (we also stopped to get some cappuccinos to celebrate… and made a few other rest stops as well 😁)

So, after arriving at the hotel around 8pm, my Dad and I went out to run some errands while my Mom and brothers prepared for service the next day. (I opted to go with Dad because as told, I love to be out and about!)

The next day, on Sunday morning, we drove to the Restoration church and did something very unique and very fun. We were inviting people to church but in a different way…

It was very nice outside, extremely windy though

We held up signs on the street and wove down cars while inviting people to the church. It was soooooo much fun! I tried to keep us organized by doing some cheer leading but that didn’t work out with 3 boys.

However, I did suggest we sing songs and quote scriptures. The boys actually complied so that was good. They also responded to this chant I made up; when I said, “How many Gods are there?” The boys answered, “One God!”

I said, “How many Gods are there?”

The boys, “One God!”

I said, “I can’t hear you!”

Then we all shouted, “One God!”

My brother Jonny pointed out to me that we were probably disturbing the peace, but it was for a good cause, so we kept right on going.

As you can probably tell, I was very excited to be in Massachusetts asking people to come to church. Most people in cars just waved at us, but we were able to speak to some of the people walking by. Don’t worry, we were all together in a group so we were safe.

Eventually, we had to go inside and have church because– hey, that’s why we came.

Praise an worship was amazing! As you can probably tell, I love music and my favorite part of the church service is praise and worship. But as I was saying, the pastor’s wife sung amazingly. Also, her son sang with her. (Didn’t think to take pictures, sorry)

So the reason we were in Massachusetts was because my father was called on to minister there. We had a great service and then went out to eat.

For and appetizer, we had bread, butter, and olive oil.–I never knew how good bread was dipped into oil! If you haven’t tried it, please do so, you’ll love it.

Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of my dish, but I ordered chicken Parmesan. It was pretty good but I mostly enjoyed the fellowship. (Of course, I added about 3 tablespoons of parmesian cheese to it, LOL, I love cheese)

Our Sunday at the Restoration Church was amazing! I can’t wait to go back there again and hang out in New England!
